Alexey Altshuller Wins 100 Buy-Ins in Two-Week Poker Marathon
Poker player Alexey Altshuller successfully completed a two-week marathon on PokerStars, winning $10,040.29 in 97,308 hands with a winrate of 12.84 EVbb/100 (10.32 bb/100).
Altshuller's marathon began on July 10th and ended on July 27th. He accepted bets with a coefficient of 2 to 1 during his marathon. Dykalis, a participant in the bet, stated that public marathons are not standard sessions and require maximum mental effort.
Coolboy, another participant, mentioned that Altshuller's winrate was impressive and that he dominated the PLO100 field. Korsiccc, who bet against Altshuller, considered the profit of 100 buy-ins unrealistic but placed a small bet for the thrill. Aspirine, a regular PLO player, noted that Altshuller's winrate was higher than expected and that he dominated the field without showdowns. Feid, who followed Altshuller's marathon, praised his ability to maintain a high level of play despite fatigue.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
