Alex Kostritsyn won the 2026 WSOP $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. bracelet
Alex Kostritsyn won the 2026 WSOP $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, earning $872,052 and his first career bracelet. His previous live tournament win was over 15 years ago at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2011, and since 2018 he had not cashed in any tournaments.
The event attracted 148 entrants, creating a prize pool of $3,478,000. Kostritsyn defeated Ali Eslami heads‑up, and in limit hold’em his pocket jacks held up against Deeb’s tens, allowing him to reach the final table.
After the final table, Sean Deeb took the lead in the WSOP Player of the Year race, Naoya Kihara finished second, and Alex Fox fell to third. The trio of leaders each receives a WSOP Paradise package worth $100,000. Kostritsyn eliminated Fox in 10th place, making a nine‑low in razz, and his seventh WSOP final table of 2026 ended in eighth place with a payout of $88,909.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
