Alex Foxen Wins Inaugural PokerGO Cup with $178,200 Prize
Alex Foxen emerged victorious at the inaugural PokerGO Cup, securing a $178,200 prize. The event, held at the PokerGO studios in Vegas’ Aria casino, featured 66 players vying for a share of the $660,000 prize pool. Among the notable players who exited early was Daniel Negreanu, who was eliminated by Vanessa Kade.
Foxen's win came after a intense heads-up battle against Sean Perry. Perry made a remarkable comeback from just two big blinds, but Foxen ultimately prevailed. “Just trying to take every hand one at a time is really the only way to go through it or otherwise you’ll be on an emotional roller coaster,” Foxen said of the heads-up battle.
The PokerGO Cup is the first of eight events leading up to a $100k buy-in finale next week. The series continues with the second event already reaching a final table, where Ali Imsirovic holds the chip lead and Jason Koon is in the mix.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
