86-Year-Old Pennsylvania Woman Wins $1.5 Million Lottery Jackpot
Rita Franczyk, an 86-year-old woman from Pennsylvania, won a $1.5 million jackpot from the Pennsylvania Lottery. Franczyk bought the winning $30 Super Star Scratch-Off ticket at a Giant Eagle store in Allegheny Township.
Franczyk plans to use her winnings to buy a new home after her previous apartment was ruined by a flood. She expressed gratitude for the win, stating, "I’m grateful, and I’m thankful to everybody involved, and thank you, God."
Franczyk's husband passed away in 2020, and the flood destroyed her apartment, leaving her with nothing. She plans to buy a new "ranch-type, small average home and move there." She also hopes to have her daughter, Cecchi, and her husband join her if they are willing.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
