The tournament structure resembled that of the WSOP or WPT main events, with deep stacks and two-hour levels. The prize pool was augmented by $150,000, a unique occurrence in poker history.
The tournament was attended by 72 players. Notable poker players such as Kirill Rabtsov, Sergey Rybachenko, Anatoly 'Dopping' Ozhennik, Andrey Zaichenko, Mikhail Tulchinsky, and Yakov Nepomnyashchy participated in the event. Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius, world-renowned poker stars, did not participate in the tournament.
The first day of the tournament saw several dramatic moments. Kirill Rabtsov doubled up against Vladimir Grishchenko with a set of nines. Sergey Altbregin showcased his characteristic luck with a strong hand against Nikolai Losyev. The tournament was marked by excitement and drama, making it a memorable event in the history of Russian poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
