Wynn Resorts Confirms September 2026 Opening for Middle East Casino Resort
Wynn Resorts has confirmed that its ambitious casino resort project, Wynn Al Marjan Island, will open in September 2026. The project, located in the United Arab Emirates, has faced delays and increased costs due to regional conflicts. The total cost of the project has increased by $600 million, bringing it to $5.7 billion.
The regional conflict, involving large-scale military action by Iran, Israel, the United States, and affiliated parties, has caused disruptions to the project's timeline and cost. Despite these challenges, Wynn Resorts remains optimistic about the project's prospects, citing positive data from tourism in the United Arab Emirates.
Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings has expressed confidence in the project, stating that the resort will be one-of-a-kind and the most exciting integrated resort opening globally in over a decade. The September opening date is strategically chosen to coincide with a strong tourism uptick in the region.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
