WSOP APAC 2014: Scott Davis Wins Main Event, George Danzer Secures Sixth Bracelet
The WSOP APAC, held in Melbourne, Australia, in early October, saw only 329 participants in its main $10,000 tournament. This was a significant drop from the 405 participants in the same event in spring 2013 and the 668 participants in the main tournament of the Aussie Millions this year.
Scott Davis won the main event of the WSOP APAC, defeating Jack Salter in the heads-up final. This was Salter's second runner-up finish of the year, having also placed second in the main event of the EPT in Monte-Carlo in May.
George Danzer secured his sixth WSOP bracelet by winning a tournament with a A$5,000 buy-in. Danzer has been a consistent performer throughout the series, securing three bracelets this year, including two in Las Vegas.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
