WSOP Reveals 2026 Poker Hall of Fame Finalists: Eight Legends Vie for Induction
The World Series of Poker announced eight finalists for the Poker Hall of Fame on Wednesday. The eight finalists are Shaun Deeb, Jason Koon, Isaac Haxton, Justin Bonomo, Scott Seiver, Chris Moorman, Mike Matusow, and Isai Scheinberg. The list of eight nominees is given to the 33 living members of the Hall of Fame, each of whom gets up to four votes.
The eight finalists include players who came of age during the Moneymaker poker boom, a key online poker entrepreneur and founder, and a member of poker’s old guard era. Isai Scheinberg is the lone non-player up for induction and was indicted on five criminal charges in 2011 after PokerStars continued operations in the U.S. following the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006.
Mike Matusow rounds out the list of nominees and has the most nominations without an induction. Matusow has been nominated for the Poker Hall of Fame 12 times. He is known for his televised poker appearances, high-stakes cash games, and final tabled the WSOP main event twice.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
