WSOP 2022: New Schedule, Venue, and No Mask Mandate Announced
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2022 has announced its daily event schedule and new venue. The prestigious poker series will be held at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This move marks a return to the series' roots, as the first WSOP was held at the Horseshoe in 1970.
The Main Event, the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em World Championship, will begin on July 3 and conclude on July 16. The event is expected to attract a large number of players from around the world. Masks will not be required at the 2022 World Series of Poker, following local, state, and CDC guidelines relating to COVID-19.
WSOP's Executive Director Ty Stewart expressed excitement about the new venue and schedule, stating, "This year is particularly historic for the WSOP with its move to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip and debut in the best facilities we’ve ever had." The two venues combine to form an area of over 200,000 square feet able to hold 600 poker tables, making it the largest venue ever for the tournament series.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
