WSOP 2017 Main Event Final Table: Meet the Nine Finalists

The final table of the 2017 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event is set with nine players, each with their unique stories and strategies. The game will continue at the level of 400,000/800,000, with an ante of 100,000.

Scott Blumstein, from the USA, is the chip leader with 97,250,000 chips. This is his first time in the WSOP Main Event, and he has been playing professionally for four years. Blumstein's largest career win was $200,000 from a tournament at the Borgata casino.

John Hesp, from the UK, is known for his humorous demeanor and has $2,207 in total career earnings. He is making his WSOP Main Event debut and has already achieved his goal of becoming a millionaire. Benjamin Pollak, from France, has $4 million in live tournament earnings and is seeking to become the first French WSOP Main Event champion. He is competing against Antoine Saout, another French player at the table.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
