WSOP 2016 Final Table: Ki Nguyen's Victory and Twitter Reactions
The 2016 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table was a spectacle of intense play and lively Twitter commentary. Adam Levy noticed many familiar nicknames among the spectators, including at least half of the $109 field with rebuys.
Brandon Myers overheard secret negotiations between Ki Nguyen and his support group, mentioning blockers on AA and 999. Kenny Haller was preparing to play at the final table with Fedor Holz, but Haller was eliminated in 6th place, expressing satisfaction with his performance and thanking everyone for their support.
William Kassouf took an average of 31 seconds to think on the preflop and 43 seconds on other streets during the 6th and 7th days. Vojtech Ruzicka lost two hands in a row to sets on eights, first against Cliff Josephy and then against Gordon Vayo. Douglas Polk praised both participants of the first hand and noted that Ruzicka's bluff in the second hand was justified. Ruzicka finished in 5th place and thanked his trainers Max Altergott, Tonychek Dudu, and Jiri Kastner.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
