WSOP 2015: Highlights from the Poker World Series

Sorel Mizzy loves to make extreme bets. In May 2014, he swam 5 km in open water as a bet, and in June he announced a new adventure: a MMA fight with Luke Schwartz after a year of training. Ryan Fee immediately offered to bet $1,000 that the MMA match between Sorel Mizzy and Luke Schwartz would not happen.

Daniel Negreanu's agent, Brian Balsbaugh, noted changes in sponsorship contracts for finalists: from 2007 to 2010, players advancing to the November Nine received at least $100k and a $1 million bonus for winning, but in 2015, they were offered only $50k.

Cristiano Ronaldo visited a poker club in Melbourne, Australia, and posted a photo on Instagram. Neymar visited Las Vegas and Rio, but did not play himself; he supported his friend Felipe Mohave, who finished 136th in the main tournament. Phil Hellmuth celebrated his birthday on July 16th, and received tips from various people, including valets and limo drivers.
