WPT National Iberia Tournament Kicks Off Second Stage in Spain and Portugal
The World Poker Tour (WPT) National Iberia tournament is entering its second stage, with events taking place across three venues: Casino Gran Madrid Torrelodones, Casino Barcelona, and Hotel Casino Algarve in Vilamoura. This format, known as 'Multi Venue Series', ensures that days 1A, 1B, 2, and 3 of the main event are synchronized across all locations.
The second stage of the tournament will run from October 13 to 16, 2016, with the final scheduled for October 22 and 23. The final will be held at Hotel Casino Algarve. The buy-in for the tournament is €675 + €75, with a guaranteed prize pool of €333,333 for this stage.
This stage of the WPT National Iberia tournament promises excitement and high stakes, with players from across the region competing for a share of the prize pool. The synchronized format adds an extra layer of strategy and anticipation, as players from different venues will come together for the final showdown.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
