The WPT Championship at the Bellagio continued with 52 players on the fourth day, with blinds set at 4,000-8,000 and an ante of 1,000. Sam El Sayed solidified his leadership in the tournament during one of the first hands, while Eugene Timoshenko started the day with a stack that barely exceeded 20 big blinds and was eliminated after 45 minutes.

Doyle Brunson added another good deed to his collection, eliminating Ali Tekintamgac. Hafiz Khan became the bubble boy of the tournament, eliminated by Justin Young. Doyle Brunson finished in 24th place, earning $37,167.

David Williams, the winner of the previous WPT Championship, finished the day with the shortest stack of 318,000. The WPT Legends of Poker champion, Andy Frankenberger, was named the Player of the Year. The WPT also announced a new super high roller tournament with a $100,000 buy-in, adding excitement to the ongoing championship.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
