Winamax Escapes License Revocation After Controversial Tweet
Poker room representatives and ambassadors have often been involved in scandals due to offensive remarks. Daniel Negreanu's Twitch account was blocked for aggressive and offensive remarks directed at an opponent.
Winamax's post celebrating two teams' advancement to the Champions League semi-final was deemed homophobic by some French liberal deputies. The French gambling regulator ARJEL did not consider the post a sufficient reason to revoke Winamax's betting license but requested the tweet's removal. Winamax Sport removed the post but did not apologize for the remarks.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
