What Women and Men Really Want in a Partner: Humor and More

In the lead-up to a holiday not universally celebrated, we aimed to discover what qualities attract women and men to each other. We expected little overlap between the lists compiled by men and women, but found that a sense of humor was universally appealing. Women value reliability, humor, and generosity in men, while men seek trust, kindness, and mutual respect.

Emotional openness and the ability to show vulnerability are also highly valued by both genders. This emotional connection improves significantly when partners are open about their feelings and respect each other's choices and opinions.

Both men and women appreciate when their partner shares their values and interests, whether it's enjoying Netflix and chill or endless self-improvement training. Good humor ranks higher than physical appearance for women, and a sense of humor is subjective, meaning someone will eventually appreciate your memes. It might take time, but persistence is key.
