Ukraine's Gambling Market to Operate Legally from December 15th

Ukraine's gambling market is on the verge of a significant change as it prepares to operate legally from December 15th, 2023. The Ukrainian government approved Ivan Rudyi as the head of the gambling regulation commission in late October. Rudyi expects the gambling market to start operating legally on December 15th, 2023.

The Ukrainian parliament is actively working on bill 2713-d, which will regulate taxation and administration of gambling activities. The commission expects to collect up to 1 billion hryvnias from licensing fees by the end of the year.

Rudyi highlighted the challenges in controlling the online segment, describing it as chaotic and anarchic. Despite these hurdles, the commission is actively forming with leading gambling specialists in Ukraine.
