Teleprompter Operator Traded on Trump's Speeches, Settles with CFTC
Gabriel Perez, a teleprompter operator for President Trump, is accused of trading on the President's speeches using Kalshi's prediction market platform. Perez placed multiple trades over the course of three months, resulting in a six-figure windfall.
Kalshi's Head of Enforcement, Bobby DeNault, stated that the abuse was flagged early by the surveillance team and referred to the relevant regulator for further investigation.
Perez is unlikely to face criminal charges and would settle the matter with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Perez has been a technical assistant to the President and has operated his teleprompter since 2016.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
