Top Poker Software Tools Used by Pros: GTO Wizard and Beyond
Professional poker players use a variety of software tools to improve their game. CashDima, a notable player, uses Hand2Note during sessions to get a minimal HUD and mark hands for later review. Outside of sessions, he relies on GTO Wizard, which he finds to be the most convenient solver. He often uses it in trainer mode but sometimes manually inputs hands to understand the machine's logic. GTO Wizard has significantly impacted his game, initially causing a decline but eventually leading to improvement once he learned how to use it effectively. He recommends using a solver from NL100 and above, ideally with the help of a trainer or knowledgeable friend.
Vitya Largus uses Hand2Note 3 during sessions and a combination of GTO Wizard, Flopzilla, H2N3, and H2N4 outside of sessions. Flopzilla helped him develop a strong basic strategy, while the solver allows him to refine it. He previously used a timer for breaks but now relies on his feelings. During games, he notes errors and situations to ponder, and outside of games, he uses notes to reflect and reduce internal tension.
Sergey Delayn uses GTO+, GTO Wizard, Hand2Note 3, and StarsCaption. For improving skills, he recommends using a solver with a trainer to understand the logic initially. He also mentions using non-poker software like a randomizer. Bogdan kidkatka primarily uses Hand2Note 4 but sometimes supplements it with Holdem Manager 3 for its convenient filters.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
