TonyBet Poker Room Shutting Down on July 20

TonyBet poker room, which was founded in 2013 by Tony G., is set to shut down on July 20. The room, which was acquired by Betsson in 2016, has seen a steady decline in traffic over the years.

TonyBet was known for its unique offerings, such as Monster Spins, and conducted its own series of tournaments. However, despite efforts by Betsson to increase its popularity, the room struggled to attract a large number of players, with typically no more than 250 players online at any given time.

With the closure of TonyBet, players are advised to contact the support service to withdraw their funds. Betsson, the parent company, will focus its efforts on its other poker room and betting services.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
