Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius to Offer Paid Poker Coaching Sessions
Poker players Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius are set to offer paid coaching sessions starting April 18th, 2011. The announcement was made by Tom Dwan himself, who will conduct his first session on April 19th. All proceeds from these sessions will go to Morris Jeff Community School.
The platform for these coaching sessions was created by Brandon Adams, a professional poker player and Harvard University instructor. The platform aims to revolutionize individual online learning by combining scheduling, payment, and audio-video sessions all in one place.
The project, which has monthly expenses of $70,000 and a site cost of over $400,000, will initially feature 20 experts, including 8 poker players. The sessions will be conducted via audio-video conferencing, similar to Skype. The platform is ambitious, with plans to include more than 70 specialists by the end of the year, though poker players will make up less than 20% of the experts.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
