Steffen Zonthaymer's High-Stakes Poker Adventure: Winning the Biggest Pot of His Career

Poker player Steffen Zonthaymer recently shared his experience of playing high-stakes online cash games, including the biggest pot of his career. In one of the first hands of the session, Zonthaymer received two cards on the big blind and called a raise from the middle position. He described the hand as follows:

"I received two cards on the big blind and called a raise from the middle position. The game was played with large antes, and the ante amount exceeded the big blind, so I had to defend widely."

In another key hand, Zonthaymer played with KTo on the small blind and called a raise from the cutoff. He explained his strategy: "I received KTo on the small blind and called a raise from the cutoff. The recreational player on the big blind was the reason for the table's gathering, and we wanted to get into pots with him as often as possible. With large antes, calling with KTo became absolutely standard."

Zonthaymer also received two aces and made a 3-bet of $8,125, which was called by the opponent. He reflected on the hand: "I received two aces and made a 3-bet of $8,125, which was called by the opponent. I hoped for a dry board where I could take the stack from any valets or top pair. What about ?"
