Russian Poker Pro Stefan Burakov Launches Twitter, Shares Insights
Stefan Burakov, a well-known Russian poker player, has launched a Twitter account to share unique content, primarily in English, to help viewers improve their English skills. He announced on his Telegram channel that his Twitter will feature exclusive content, encouraging viewers to see it as an opportunity to enhance their language skills naturally and enjoyably.
In one of his tweets, Stefan analyzed a hand where he called with Q-high against Linus on the river. He explained that while the hand might seem crazy at first, understanding the ranges on all streets makes it clear that players like Linus tend to overbluff on the river. Stefan noted that if Linus was overbluffing on the flop, which was evident due to his polarizing bet of 3/4 pot, then he would likely bluff with his entire range on the turn. On the river, in such spots, Linus doesn't know how to slow down. Therefore, Stefan understood that he would call with his entire range from the flop.
Nick Schulman shared an interesting story about a taxi driver who received a $10,000 tip from Phil Ivey. Schulman recalled that while on his way to the airport in the Bahamas, a taxi driver recognized him as a poker player and asked if he knew Phil Ivey. Schulman confirmed Ivey's status as one of the greatest players in history, to which the driver revealed that Ivey had tipped him $10,000 a year prior, helping him partially pay off his home mortgage.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
