Spanish Online Gaming Platforms .es to Launch on June 5, 2012
The Spanish online gaming platforms .es will start operating on June 5, 2012, at 9:00 AM. This announcement comes after a meeting in Madrid between future Spanish online gaming operators and the Dirección General de Ordenación de Juego.
The licenses for the .es platforms will be granted on June 1, 2012, as previously announced. However, the sanctioning regime for these platforms will not come into effect until June 5, 2012. This means that players can continue to play normally over the weekend.
The decision to delay the implementation of the .es platforms was made to avoid logistical problems that could arise from conducting a technical operation of this magnitude on a weekend.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
