A South Carolina couple turned a lunch date into a $500,000 lottery windfall. The couple won the prize from a Cash Money scratch-off ticket.
The couple bought the winning ticket at QuikTrip #1113 on W. Wade Hampton Blvd in Greer, South Carolina. They initially considered buying a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket before changing their minds. The QuikTrip store received a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The odds of winning the top prize with a Cash Money ticket are 1 in 1,560,000. The game is still running, with two more top prizes waiting to be scooped up by another lucky couple across the state.
