Shabalinvlad: VPP is the Ultimate Objective Measure in Poker

Vladimir Shabalinvlad, known as Shabalinvlad, has made a significant mark in the poker world, achieving the status of Supernova Elite on PokerStars for the 10th time. His journey in poker began in 2010 with $15 and SNG tournaments Double or Nothing. Shabalinvlad transitioned to Fifty50 tournaments in 2011 and then to cash games.

In 2012, with a bankroll of $10,000, Shabalinvlad started playing 6-max hyper-turbo games. He considers VPP an absolutely objective indicator in poker, appreciating the concreteness and stability it provides. Shabalinvlad started his poker career as a student with a $50 stipend, initially playing tournaments for $20 and $50, earning $5,000 a month.

Shabalinvlad's motivation to increase his earnings came from buying an apartment on credit. He was inspired by the commentary of Ilya Gorodecky during EPT Prague and was motivated to achieve high rankings on the PokerStars leaderboard. Shabalinvlad's journey highlights the importance of adapting to new disciplines and the objective nature of VPP in poker.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
