Sergi Reixach: Why MTTs Are the Best Poker Format
Poker player Sergi Reixach has shared his thoughts on why he prefers Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs) over other poker formats. In a recent Twitter post, Reixach explained that he finds MTTs to be the most fun and the format with the most longevity.
Reixach highlighted several reasons why he enjoys MTTs. He mentioned that MTTs offer large prizes, a sense of glory, and complex gameplay. "The poker is the best game ever created, more than sky that would say the great Toro Páez. What modality do people like the most? Between Cash, Spins, MTTs and SNGs. Without a doubt the MTTs. Not only is it the most fun format, but in my opinion it is the one that has the most life left."
Reixach believes that the complexity of MTTs, due to factors like stack sizes and the Independent Chip Model (ICM), makes them more challenging and exciting. He also mentioned that the ICM model, which has been used in poker since 1987, is outdated and has leaks. Reixach teaches about Future Game Simulation (FGS) on EducaPoker, which aims to provide better solutions for poker strategy.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
