Sean Perry's Incredible Comeback Wins PokerGO Cup Event 2

Sean Perry has lifted event 2 of the PokerGO Cup in Las Vegas, an incredible final table comeback from just two big blinds to win the $200,000 top prize and enough points to join Daniel Colpoys at the top of the leaderboard of the 8-event highstakes tournament series.

With 80 entries to the second of three $10k NLHE tournaments, the $800k prizepool would be shared between 12 players, and that dozen wouldn’t include overall 2022 PokerGO Tour leader Nick Petrangelo, nor event 1 winner Colpoys, nor 2021 PokerGO Cup overall victor Daniel Negreanu.

Notable players who did not make it to the final table included Nick Petrangelo, Daniel Colpoys, and Daniel Negreanu. The money bubble burst when Jake Schindler lost out to Ali Imsirovic’s pocket jacks, meaning everyone left in was guaranteed $16k, though those jacks weren’t so lucky for England’s Stephen Chidwick when he ran into Brock Wilson’s queens to bust in 9th spot.
