Sean Perry Triumphs at Poker Masters Event 2, Wins $206,400

Sean Perry made a stunning victory at Poker Masters Event 2, earning $206,400. There were 86 entries to event 2 of the 12-tournament series and at $10k per head that amounted to an $860k prizepool. Jeremy Ausmus finished as the runner-up, earning $146,200. Daniel Negreanu finished third, earning $103,200. Erik Seidel, Jason Koon, and Jonathan Jaffe were among those in the money but falling short of the final table.

Jake Schindler dismissed John O’Riordan in 6th spot. Perry’s suited connectors hitting the flop hard to outgun Soverel’s pocket fives. After highroller expert Jake Schindler had dismissed John O’Riordan in 6th spot, Sam Soverel doubled up Kid Poker and then fell in 5th spot, with Perry’s suited connectors hitting the flop hard to outgun Soverel’s pocket fives. Schindler fell in 4th and then it was the run of Negreanu to hit the rail, his suited K 10 unable to overcome Perry’s pocket sixes but nonetheless having run up his short stack to a 3rd spot worth $103,200.

Perry told PokerGO reporters afterwards: “I’m so ecstatic... I just won in a star-studded field against people I grew up watching play, my idols. These guys are phenomenal. I’m so honored and so happy.” Perry stated: “I want to win Player of the Year for PokerGO, which would be so awesome, but winning the Poker Masters – oh, man. I’d look so good wearing that Purple Jacket going clubbing and I’d wear it to every final table. It’d be so nice.”
