Poker Star Sean Deib Invests Big in Retro Video Games
Sean Deib, a popular and well-known poker player from the USA, is known for his love of retro video games from the 80s and 90s. Despite the moral obsolescence of these games and consoles, Deib believes investing in them is a great idea. Deib has partnered with Nelson Laffy, a collector of video games. Deib and Laffy have collected a significant number of retro video game cartridges, including rare and valuable ones. Some of these cartridges are so rare that they are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Deib and Laffy's collection includes legendary games such as "Contra", "Final Fantasy", "Street Fighter 2", "Deja Vu", and a first-class copy of "The Legend of Zelda" for the Nintendo console, which Deib considers the jewel of the collection. Deib has not met anyone who did not like the famous "Zelda", and he considers it "the most valuable game in the entire lot".
Deib and Laffy's joint venture has already begun to bear fruit. The market for collecting retro video games is actively developing, and they have already sold a nearly new cartridge of the famous "Sonic the Hedgehog" for $120,000. Soon they also sold a completely new, sealed cartridge of Super Mario Bros for $400,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
