SCOOP Tournament Successes and EuroVegas Uncertainty
The Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) by PokerStars has already distributed thousands of dollars, with many Spanish players among the winners. Notable achievements include Óscar Lima, known as Sr amarillo, who secured first place in the SCOOP #5-M: NL Hold'em 109$+R Turbo event, earning $99,913. Other significant wins include those by Artur Alabart, known as arturitooo, who won $211,680.
Viktor Blom, known as Isildur2, has been particularly successful, winning two events in two days and earning over $400,000. His victories highlight the intense competition and high stakes involved in the SCOOP tournament.
Meanwhile, the future of EuroVegas remains uncertain. Sheldon Adelson, the billionaire behind Las Vegas Sands, recently visited Alcorcón, one of the potential sites for the EuroVegas complex. Despite visiting the proposed locations in Madrid and Barcelona, Adelson has yet to make a final decision on where EuroVegas will be built. The project faces ongoing discussions regarding fiscal advantages and administrative procedures, adding to the uncertainty surrounding its future.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
