San Francisco 49ers Face Major Behind-the-Scenes Changes
The San Francisco 49ers are currently experiencing significant changes behind the scenes, as revealed by NFL insider Jason La Canfora. The team's principal owner and CEO, Jed York, has been spending more time in Ohio, near Youngstown, due to his recent divorce.
Paraag Marathe, the longtime head of business operations for the 49ers, has relocated abroad. Marathe, who was described by some as the "brains behind the operation," oversaw payroll and contract negotiations for rosters, as well as talent acquisition. He is now in charge of the team's soccer operations.
La Canfora cited industry sources indicating that York and Marathe had a falling out around the time Marathe filed for his divorce. Despite these changes, the 49ers are preparing for their first-ever international regular season opener in Australia against the Los Angeles Rams.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
