Russian Poker Tour Announces Kiev Event Amid Political Stability

The Russian Poker Tour (RPT) is gearing up for its upcoming event in Kiev, Ukraine, scheduled from February 17 to 26, 2014. The event has garnered significant attention due to the recent political tensions in the region. However, the organizers have assured that the situation has stabilized, allowing the tournament to proceed as planned.

WilliamHillPoker.com has been announced as the new general partner of the RPT. As part of this partnership, WilliamHillPoker.com will host exclusive online satellites leading up to the April Grand Final of the RPT. These satellites offer various prize packages, including tickets to the Main Event, Mega Event, and additional cash for expenses. Players who use the promo code RPT1000 during registration on WilliamHillPoker.com and make a deposit of €20 or more will receive a free ticket to the final super satellite.

In addition to the tournament, the RPT has partnered with Poker Travel, a company that organizes poker-tourism trips for players from various countries, primarily Israel. Poker Travel's general director, Leor Markov, mentioned that poker is illegal in Israel, leading many players to participate in online games or travel abroad. Despite the political situation in Kiev, Israeli players who visited for the RPT event enjoyed the city, the poker games, shopping, and nightlife. The partnership with Poker Travel is expected to bring more international players to future RPT events.
