Russian Player Wins Big in Spin & Go, PokerStars Adjusts Timing Rules
A Russian player, 24hourATM, won $1,200,000 in a Spin & Go tournament on PokerStars. The player registered with a $100 buy-in and secured the top spot within minutes. After the victory, the player celebrated with 150 grams of whiskey, finishing the entire bottle by evening and remaining almost sober.
PokerStars is reducing the time for decision-making on preflop to 10 seconds for all NLHE and PLO tables from $0.01/0.02 to $0.10/$0.25. This change, effective from January 8, follows a successful experiment on lower stakes tables.
The partypoker MILLIONS Grand Final series will be held in Barcelona from April 7 to 15 with a total guarantee of €23,000,000. The main event, starting on April 11, has a buy-in of €10,300 and a guarantee of €10,000,000. At least three participants will become millionaires. The series will feature nine tournaments with buy-ins ranging from €1,100 to €100,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
