Rodrigo Leleco's Rise: A Brazilian Poker Phenomenon in 2024
Rodrigo Leandro, affectionately known as Leleco, has made a significant impact in the Brazilian poker scene in 2024. His journey began in 2013 when he was introduced to poker by his cousins. Leleco started studying the game through a site called Universidade do Poker, and his dedication quickly paid off.
In 2014, Leleco had his first significant win playing a Big $22 tournament. This victory was a turning point for him, leading him to drop out of his engineering degree to focus full-time on poker. His decision to pursue poker professionally has since proven to be a successful one.
Leleco's career took another significant turn in 2019 when he joined the InstaShove team, which he credits with significant evolution in his poker skills. In 2023, he joined The Team and won $160k in just one week, showcasing his growing prowess in the game. Leleco's success continued into 2024, where he secured second place in a freeroll on GGPoker with 536,941 players, earning over $40k. He followed this up by winning the Bounty Hunters HR Main Event $525, earning over $120k.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
