Rob Yong Calls Out Online Poker Rooms for Harmful MTT Practices
Rob Yong, a successful businessman and high roller, is known for his active stance on improving online poker. He recently wrote an open letter to MTT players, criticizing certain practices by online poker sites that aim to increase prize pools and rake.
In his letter, Rob Yong mentioned that these practices include increasing the number of Day 1s, re-entries, action time, late registration, and additional levels in the structure. He suggested that players should think twice before playing or supporting MTTs with more than two Day 1s, more than one re-entry, and late registration below 30BB.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
