Randy 'nanonoko' Lew Aims to Set Guinness World Record in Online Poker
PokerStars announced that Randy Lew, known as nanonoko, would attempt to set a Guinness World Record during the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA). The attempt was originally scheduled for December 13, 2012.
PokerStars turned to the 2+2 forum community for help in choosing a suitable category for the record. The VIP-manager of PokerStars wrote that the record should be original and related to online poker. The moderators warned that trolling and sexually explicit jokes would result in a ban from the forum.
On December 19, the organizers announced that on January 8, Randy Lew would attempt to play the most hands online in a set amount of time. Lew stated that he would likely play for either 6 or 12 hours. The community was surprised by the chosen category, with many users expressing disbelief and skepticism about the record attempt.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
