Rafa Nadal becomes the new face of PokerStars

Rafa Nadal has been announced as the new public face of PokerStars. The tennis star from Mallorca will be the flag-bearer for Spain at the London Olympics. PokerStars aims to increase its visibility in Spain with Rafa Nadal as its brand ambassador.

Naoya Kihara became the first Japanese player to win a WSOP bracelet, securing a prize of $512,029. Phil Ivey, on the other hand, finished eighth in the event #35 2.500$ Mixed Holdem (Limit / No Limit).

Miguel Ángel Rodríguez “mikiantimad” and Raúl Páez did not have much luck in the second day of event #37 of 8-game, despite starting with good chips (3rd and 23rd respectively).

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
