Radmir Sadirov Secures Historic WSOP Win for Russia
Radmir Sadirov, known by his online handle KOPOBA, made history by winning the WSOP Event #18, earning $169,000. This victory marks the first WSOP bracelet for Russia in 2021. Sadirov's triumph came after a intense final table where he defeated some of the world's top poker players, including João Vieira, who has made over 50 WSOP final table appearances.
The WSOP Event #18 featured 144 players, with a total prize pool of $684,000. The top 20 players shared in the prize money, with Sadirov taking the lion's share. Sadirov's victory is not his first major win; he has previously won over $200,000 in tournaments on GGpoker. This latest win adds a significant amount to his poker earnings, securing his status as one of Russia's top poker players.
Sadirov's victory was particularly impressive given the strength of the competition. He defeated experienced players such as Säm Greenwood, Dario Sammartino, and Daniel Dvores. These high-stakes players finished in the top five, with Greenwood taking sixth place, Sammartino fifth, and Dvores fourth. The final table also included João Vieira, who finished second with $122,000. Sadirov's strategic play and composure under pressure were key to his victory, cementing his place in poker history.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
