Pralad Fridman: The Poker Pioneer's Journey from Millions to Bankruptcy
Pralad Fridman is a pioneer in online poker, having started playing in 2001. He began his career with limit hold'em but gained recognition with no-limit hold'em (NLHE).
In an interview with Joe Ingram in 2016, Fridman mentioned winning significant amounts on $15/$30 tables at Party Poker. He also recounted a notable hand where he won a $100k pot with deuces against TerrorOfSweden, a suspected hacker.
Fridman was a victim of hackers in the Prima network and superusers in Ultimate Bet, losing millions. His offline poker career includes playing high-stakes games in casinos and private games, with notable wins and losses. He once lost $850k in a single day but managed to recover and win $1.5 million in another high-stakes session.
Fridman recounted a memorable hand against Kiddo Fam where he bluffed successfully with a weak hand. He once bet against a head-up bot and won, inspiring him to take on similar challenges. Despite his successes, Fridman's journey in poker has been marked by both incredible wins and devastating losses, including periods of bankruptcy.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
