Portugal Moves to Regulate Online Gambling as New Poker Software Emerges

Portugal is preparing its online gambling regulation, declaring some gaming activities illegal. BetClic was recently deemed illegal by a Lisbon court due to a complaint from Santa Casa da Misericórdia. The pressure from football clubs has initiated an online gambling regulation process in Portugal.

In other news, a new online poker software called Fast Poker has been developed by Relax Gaming. This software allows players to receive new cards immediately after folding, adding a new dynamic to the game. Fast Poker will soon be available on major platforms like Unibet.

In Spain, there are significant changes in the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego. Carlos Hernández Riera is expected to replace Juan Carlos Alfonso as the head of the organization. Jaime Lorenzo is set to become the Subdirector General de Gestión del Juego.
