PokerStars Updates: Software Ban and Spin & Go Changes, Negreanu on Poker Books
PokerStars has made significant changes to its policies regarding poker software and Spin & Go multipliers. On October 1, 2015, PokerStars banned SpinWiz and similar programs that help with game selection.
Additionally, PokerStars increased the maximum prize in Spin & Go from 3,000x to 10,000x, but reduced the odds of hitting the maximum multiplier from 100,000 to 1 to 1,000,000 to 3.
Daniel Negreanu, a prominent poker player, discussed the rarity of top poker players sharing their strategies in books. He stated that top players rarely write high-quality poker books because they make more money keeping their strategies secret. Negreanu also mentioned that the best poker coaches are typically top players themselves, as they have the necessary skills and experience.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
