PokerStars Celebrates 15 Years of Sunday Million with $12.5M Guarantee

PokerStars is set to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its legendary Sunday Million tournament with a staggering $12,500,000 guarantee. The first Sunday Million was held in March 2006 with a prize pool of $1,000,000. This year, the top two finishers will each receive over $1,000,000, making it one of the most lucrative poker events of the year.

The anniversary tournament will start on March 21 at 20:00 and will run for three days. The buy-in for this special event is $215, and late registration is available for 24 hours after the start of the tournament, with re-entry allowed up to five times. Daily satellites with a $22 buy-in are already giving away five tickets each day, and starting from March 8, PokerStars will give away tickets worth $500,000, with the rules and conditions of the giveaway yet to be announced.

In addition to the anniversary Sunday Million, PokerStars is also running the 50/50 tournament series, where all tournaments have a $50 buy-in. This series runs until February 8 and features a variety of tournament formats, including knockouts, freezeouts, and ZOOM tournaments. The main event of the 50/50 series starts on February 7 at 21:00 with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000.
