PokerStars Loses Key Ambassadors, GG Network Gains Daniel Negreanu
PokerStars has recently seen significant changes in its ambassador program. The company has parted ways with Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov, which has sparked a lot of discussion within the poker community. Maria Konnikova, another notable figure, has also left PokerStars but plans to continue promoting poker and writing her new book, which is highly anticipated by the community.
Meanwhile, GG Network has made a strategic move by welcoming Daniel Negreanu to their team. Negreanu, who was previously with PokerStars, cited the network's rapid growth and user-friendly software as key factors in his decision to join GG Network. He also mentioned that the mobile client was particularly impressive, noting that it is 'super user-friendly'.
In other news, Phil Galfond has relaunched the Durrrr Challenge, inviting high-stakes players to compete against him in head-to-head matches. Galfond aims to attract more attention to his poker room, Run It Once, which currently ranks 50th in global traffic. He has proposed two challenges: one for PLO trainers and another open to all players. The conditions for the PLO trainers challenge include 50,000 hands, a 3:1 side bet up to 10 buy-ins, and limits starting from $100/$200. The open challenge has more flexible conditions, including various game types and limits.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
