PokerStars Launches Founders Table Initiative Ahead of FanDuel Merger
PokerStars has launched a new initiative called The Founders Table ahead of its merger with FanDuel in North America. This initiative offers players benefits such as early username selection, exclusive tournaments, and access to a special Discord channel. The Founders Table membership is available to players in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario.
The Founders Table initiative comes as PokerStars prepares to integrate with FanDuel, transitioning to a new platform called PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel. The new platform will combine FanDuel’s casino offerings and sportsbook with a single wallet system. Players will need to create a fresh account on the new platform, including choosing a new username. However, PokerStars is offering players the chance to retain their existing usernames on the new client.
PokerStars has started winding down its Pennsylvania client, removing some daily flagship tournaments. This move is part of the preparation for the merger, which is expected to happen soon. The exact timeline for the merger has not been officially announced, but signs indicate that the transition is close.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
