PokerStars Extends SCOOP 2020 with Massive Prize Pools

PokerStars has announced an extension of the SCOOP 2020 series until May 31, 2020. This decision comes after observing unprecedented player activity during the series. Along with the extension, the total prize pool for the series has been increased to $135,000,000.

In addition to the extended duration, 132 new tournaments have been added to the SCOOP 2020 series. Among these new additions are 7 events with guaranteed prize pools exceeding $1,000,000 each. This increase in the number of tournaments and the prize pools provides players with more opportunities to win significant amounts of money.

Notable among the new tournaments are the SCOOP-96-L, which has a buy-in of $55 and guarantees a prize pool of $1,000,000, and the Sunday Million, with a buy-in of $109 and a guaranteed prize pool of $2,500,000. These tournaments offer players the chance to win substantial prizes with relatively lower buy-ins.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
