PokerStars Announces 2011 VIP Program Changes
PokerStars has announced several changes to its VIP program for 2011. On December 17, PokerStars manager Steve posted details on the 2+2 forum, outlining the updates.
One of the key changes is that VIP bonuses are now instantly credited to players' accounts. Previously, players had to accumulate a certain amount of VPP to receive their bonuses. Additionally, Supernova Elite players can now obtain a Milestone Cash Credit of $20,000 upon reaching 1,000,000 VPP.
The cost of all Milestone Cash Credits has been reduced to 1 FPP, although the value of each credit has been decreased by $800 to balance this change. The 100,000 VPP Milestone Cash Credit has been replaced with a 100,000 VPP VIP Stellar Reward of $200, making the first Milestone Cash Credit available to VIP players who have earned 200,000 VPP. Furthermore, the VPP multiplier for micro-limit NL and PL games will change starting January 1, 2011, with new multipliers for different stakes.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
