Poker Community Buzzes with Controversies and Realistic Scenes in 'Euphoria'

In a recent discussion, TiltMeNot highlighted some of the toughest opponents he faced in his poker career, including Ben86, cumicon, berriesweet, ike, and trueteller. He noted that while the first four were significantly stronger, his interactions with trueteller were particularly memorable despite the losses.

Manny Lezer shared his grievances with CoinPoker, claiming that the platform owes him money and unfairly closed his affiliate program. CoinPoker responded by asserting that they have no liquidity issues and that the accusations come from a former partner whose contract was terminated in 2024. Patrick Leonard corroborated CoinPoker's stance, mentioning a smooth handling of a large cashout where all players received their money within five minutes.

Lilyan Welsh, at 83 years old, made headlines by winning the main tournament of the UKPL series with a buy-in of £560 at the Grosvenor Casino in Blackpool. Leo Nordin, a regular Omaha player on GG Poker, shared his experiences with leaderboards, jackpots, and rakeback. Doug Polk announced that the Lodge club will reopen on May 26 after all accusations against him and his partners were dropped.

The fourth episode of the third season of 'Euphoria' received praise for its realistic portrayal of a home poker game. Viewers appreciated the use of normal chips, realistic cards, and plausible betting actions. However, the episode also sparked a discussion about the potential ban of headphones at poker tables, which will be addressed at the upcoming summit of tournament directors on June 29-30.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
