Poker Legends Share Insights: Thomas Kremzer, Randy Lew, and Kirill Gerasimov
Thomas Kremzer, a prominent figure in the poker world, was one of the most famous tournament directors in Europe during the 2000s. His journey in the poker industry is marked by significant contributions and memorable experiences. Kremzer first visited Russia in January 2006, where he found the environment surprisingly welcoming despite initial concerns about safety and bureaucracy.
Kremzer appreciated the respect and acceptance he received from Russian players, even though he did not speak Russian. He noted that Russian players are detail-oriented and adhere to rules, which he found refreshing compared to players from other countries. This positive experience led him to enjoy working with Russian players and contributing to the growth of poker in Russia.
Randy Lew, known as nanonoko, is another legendary figure in the poker community. He gained fame for his ability to play 6-max NLHE on 24 tables simultaneously. Lew shared his insights on managing tilt, a common challenge for poker players. He recommends taking a break when feeling tilted to avoid making impulsive decisions. Lew also emphasized the importance of self-reflection after each session to identify areas for improvement and maintain a disciplined approach to the game.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
