Poker After Dark: Legendary Players Battle in High-Stakes Game
The high-stakes poker game featured some of the most prominent players in the industry. The players included Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Phil Galfond, Brian Hastings, and Brandon Adams. The blinds were $300/600, and the buy-in was $100,000.
Patrik Antonius received pocket kings (Kh Kc) and decided to raise the pot. Tom Dwan called with Jd Td. The flop was 9s 5d Jc, and both players pushed all their chips into the center. Tom Dwan won the hand when a valet appeared on the river.
Later, Tom Dwan proposed a 100,000 hand match in 7 games, with Phil Ivey returning a percentage of the winnings. Tom Dwan proposed a HORSE match with a $50k/$100k limit, paying $40,000 for the right to schedule the game. Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan discussed the terms of their potential match, with Phil Ivey ultimately agreeing to the conditions.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
